Strength Training

Strength training at home is not the same as doing a few exercises on the floor. It is training with sufficient load for the muscles to adapt, with the ability to increase resistance over time, and with equipment that covers the movements the body needs. That is the difference between moving and doing real strength training.

It requires strength training equipment that does not peak after the first weeks, but that can keep up as strength grows. JAAFIT’s range is composed exactly for that. Equipment for strength training at home that covers the central movement patterns without requiring an entire room for the purpose.

Resistance and progression with bands

The most common argument against home strength training is that you cannot create enough resistance. With JAAFIT PRO and adjustable load up to 145 kg that argument falls apart. Strength training at home with bands provides progressive overload across the whole body, because resistance can be adjusted per exercise and per set without changing equipment.

Bands have an additional advantage in strength training. Resistance increases through the movement, which forces the muscles to work hard in the part of the movement where most are strongest. It provides a load profile that free weights cannot match to the same degree.

If you want to understand the difference between the different types of bands and when a set makes sense instead of individual purchases, we have collected it under training bands.

Press, pull and bodyweight

Strength training covers three fundamental movement directions. Pressing exercises load chest, shoulders and triceps. Pulling exercises target back and biceps. And bodyweight exercises like pull-ups and dips train both with the body as resistance.

PowerPress is built for compact chest press at home and provides a pressing movement that normally requires a bench and weight plates. Combined with the bands’ resistance it covers one of the exercises that is otherwise hardest to replicate without a gym.

Pull-up and dip bars add the pulling exercises and the bodyweight dimension that bands alone do not fully cover. Together with PowerBands as assistance you can build up to full pull-ups gradually, even if you are not there yet.

Together this gives a setup for strength training at home that hits the same movement patterns as a gym in a form that can fit in a living room.

From exercises to results

Equipment creates the opportunity. Results come from what you do with it over time. Muscle growth and strength increases are driven by progressive overload, sufficient training volume and time under tension. The principles are the same whether you train at home or in a center. The difference is whether your equipment allows it. We have written more about what actually drives muscle growth and how the body adapts for those who want to understand the mechanisms behind it.

If you want to start strength training at home without assembling individual parts, JAAFIT Bundles collect equipment in ready-made packages, so you have what you need from day one.
